Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada, is an actor most well-known for her role as Bo in The Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk both were academics. Ilkay was also a director, producer and playwright. She is director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching while at work, and also attending the rehearsals for her plays. Silk featured in a number of commercials while she was young. Silk was a graduate of St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was active in at least two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk made the move to Toronto for further development of her acting profession in November 1999, and during the following decade relocated in the following decade to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an Actors Workshop located in Los Angeles, in 2007. Following their engagement in 2008, the couple got married in 2009. The couple got married in Fredericton on April 10th the couple renewed their vows, following Silk's change of religion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman gave birth to her son Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May of 2013. Levi Aaron, her second child was born 13 May in 2016. Silk is famous for her role on television as Cassidy Holland, in Being Erica. In 2009, she was nominated by for the Gemini Awards. In 2009 she was cast as the main character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant during final production of the season 3 finale and announced this to viewers on Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on the 6th of January, 2013. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season. Then on the 20th of June 2013 Silk announced via Twitter that she was ready to return to the set of the show. Her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite TV Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top Television Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Because of the show's popularity, Silk has garnered a prominent presence on social media.
