Sometimes, a glamorous career conceals some of the darkest tales. The winner of both the USA and World champions in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her current position after plenty of effort and immense patience. Jones grew up with an extremely difficult and hardship-filled life being the daughter of an unwed mom with five children. Her mother was constantly moving around and even lived in the basement of a church for a short duration. Jones had to attend a new high school each year because of her nomadic background. Jones moved away from her mother to Theodore Roosevelt so that her to pursue her track interest. She lived with four different families throughout her time at high school to study in one place. Jones, a cellist in the school's orchestra, and recipient of Gatorade Iowa track and field award for athlete of the Year earned her an award called the Gatorade Iowa Athlete award at the close of high school. Jones was among the best hurdlers in her age group at the time she entered college. She was the winner of the 100 meter hurdles at the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. In addition, she was a part of the team that finished second in the 100-meter relay. In 2003 and in 2004, Jones took home the hurdles indoor event during the NCAA Championship. Jones, after completing her studies in 2005, began to train hard for track. In 2005 she was winning the Torino Memorial race, in 2006 she took one of the Heusden and Ostrava runners.

Brandt was born and raised in Cape Town in South African. She emigrated to Auckland New Zealand with her family when she was in her teens. Brandt's talent was discovered in Auckland by the local casting director Brandt. She was cast in the part of Naevia for her role on the Starz series Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. In collaboration with the producers Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi she captivated audiences through her performances and became an one of the series' biggest stars. Mazikeen was a popular fan favorite DC/Vertigo character from comics as well as the Vertigo/DC series Lucifer was her role in the cult Netflix show. Lucifer was a smash hit and broke binge records and was named the top shows that were binge watched in 2021 by Forbes. Brandt next appears opposite Andrew Lincoln in the limited Walking Dead 6 episode spin-off scheduled to air in 2024. Lesley-Ann Brandt was born the 2nd of December, the 2nd of December 1981 at Cape Town South Africa. She is quite a talented New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt along with the remainder of her family moved to Auckland New Zealand, in 1999. In Auckland, Brandt began as an agent for sales, and later was elevated to the position of an IT consultant. Lesley began her professional career as a commercial ad-writer after some modeling opportunities. She graduated in 2008 from her majors and studied Meisner techniques for studying. The next time she appeared on the show was This Is Not My Life. It is based off the real story of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt starred in the show Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia as a hostage. She was later seen in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena Miniseries.
